Welcome to OmniCast VR ("we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy governs the data collection, processing, and usage practices for the OmniCast VR application available on the Meta Horizon Store.

This policy is designed to comply with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) in the United States, and Meta's Developer Data Use Policy (including VRC.Privacy.1 - VRC.Privacy.4).

By using OmniCast VR, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

When you use OmniCast VR, we collect the following types of information:

Meta Horizon Profile Information: We collect your Meta User ID (platform_user_id), Oculus display name (username), and your 2D profile image URL (user.ImageURL).
Avatar Data: We use the Genies Avatar SDK. We may process your Genies Avatar ID to render your custom 3D avatar within our multiplayer environments.
Transaction Data: If you purchase subscriptions (Premium) or in-app digital items (Downloadable Content), we process transaction validation data provided by the Meta Horizon IAP API. We do not collect or store your credit card information.
Social & Interaction Data: We collect information regarding your friends list (if you choose to invite them), blocked users list, and your room creation/joining history to facilitate matchmaking and enforce Trust & Safety guidelines.
Voice and Audio Data (Crucial): OmniCast VR features real-time voice chat via Photon Voice 2. We do NOT record, store, or transcribe your voice communications. Voice data is processed in real-time, transmitted peer-to-peer or via our third-party servers strictly for live communication, and is immediately discarded after transmission.
Device and Technical Data: We collect basic analytics data, including IP address, headset model, crash reports, and server connection logs.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

To create and manage your OmniCast VR account and internal database records.
To enable real-time multiplayer functionality, voice chat, and social routing (Deep Linking).
To verify your digital entitlements, active subscriptions (is_premium), and digital inventory.
To synchronize your Meta Horizon Blocked Users list with our internal system to ensure a safe environment.
To provide technical support and improve the application's stability.

4. Sharing Your Information with Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We only share data with the following essential third-party service providers (Data Processors) to operate the application:

Exit Games (Photon): We share your User ID and Display Name with Photon Fusion 2 and Photon Voice 2 to facilitate real-time multiplayer networking and live audio streaming.
Genies Inc.: We interface with the Genies Avatar SDK to authenticate and load your 3D avatar assets.
Hosting Providers: Your persistent data (such as inventory and premium status) is stored securely on our backend databases hosted on servers physically located in France (EU).
Meta Platforms, Inc.: We share deep linking, presence (InLobby/InRoom), and entitlement data back to the Meta Horizon OS to enable system-level features like the "Join Friend" button.

5. Data Retention and Deletion (Your Rights)

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy.

How to Request Data Deletion:
You have the right to request the complete deletion of your OmniCast VR account and all associated personal data from our servers. To initiate a data deletion request, please send an email to t.gencosman@gmail.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include your Oculus Display Name. We will process and fulfill your request within 30 days.

6. International Data Transfers

OmniCast VR operates globally. Your data is primarily processed and stored on our backend servers located in France (European Union). Some of our service providers (such as Genies Inc. and Meta) operate in the United States. By using the app, you consent to the transfer of your information to these jurisdictions, which are safeguarded by standard contractual clauses and GDPR compliance measures.

7. European Privacy Rights (GDPR)

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA) or the UK, you have the following rights:

Right of Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to Rectification: You can request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): You can request the deletion of your data (see Section 5).
Right to Restrict Processing: You can ask us to suspend the processing of your data.

8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion of that information, and the right to opt-out of the sale of your personal information. OmniCast VR does not sell personal information to third parties.

9. Children's Privacy

OmniCast VR is intended for users aged 13 and older (or the applicable age of majority in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take immediate steps to delete such data from our servers.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top.
